Jenny Johnson has lived in three centuries and seen six different monarchs on the throne. She shared her memories with Hannah Davies.

When she was born, Queen Victoria was seeing out the last days of her reign and the Boer War had broken out.

There were no cars on the streets, no planes in the sky and Tyneside was approaching the peak of its shipbuilding powers with the launch of the Mauritania in 1906.
