WHEN one race ended at Silverstone yesterday, another began.
Jenson Button faded quickly from contention in the first as Juan Pablo Montoya put a season of despair behind him by winning the British Grand Prix.
But the British BAR driver found himself firmly at the centre of the second as a three-way chase to sign him next season began in earnest.
Ferrari, BAR and Williams are locked in a battle to snare Button, who finished fifth after starting from the front row.
