Adjunctive nutrition during cancer chemo- and radiation therapies.(Nutritional Influences on Illness)

Simply manipulating nutritional factors appears to be a powerful method of preventing the establishment of many cancers. Once a person has developed advanced cancer, nutritional interventions can often play an adjunctive role to more aggressive forms of treatment by increasing tumor response and decreasing toxicity. (1) We will look at a few of the adjunctive nutritional interventions that appear to be useful in conjunction with radiation and/or chemotherapy.
