Bristol, S.D., rebounds slowly from loss of school.

Jul. 4--BRISTOL -- The school building still stands tall and proud in this Day County town.
But besides the birds chirping, there is no other sound at the Bristol school. The aging purple and gold merry-go-round and other playground equipment sit idle.
The east side of town, however, is a different story. Kids dive, splash and cannonball into the city swimming pool as much as they have before.
The two contrasts are good indicators of life in Bristol one year after losing its school.
