It's used in aircraft. It's used in Formula 1 racing cars. It's used in a handful of commercial trucks. Inflating tires with nitrogen in place of compressed air is not a new idea, but it's just not very common in the trucking industry. Considering the cost premium required for some tires, like wide-base singles, however, maybe it should be.
