How to write a press release that gets published!

Many press releases received by newspapers, magazines, and broadcast media organizations are immediately thrown away. Editors are always looking for good stories, however, and they will read press releases that are well written and professionally presented. Well written releases concisely communicate the Five Ws: who, what, where, when and why. Releases should have news or feature value and, if possible, should provide photo possibilities.
