The American Federation of Arts and the National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC, have together organised the first exhibition of the paintings of Gerard ter Borch in thirty years and the first ever in America. It is now on display almost in its entirety at the Detroit Institute of Arts, and some twenty works will be shown at the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, this summer.
