What conclusion do you draw from the national emission allocation plans examined by the Commission?

Jos Delbeke: After the approval of the Polish plan, we will be left only with the Czech and Greek plans in the coming weeks. As for the Italian plan, contacts with Rome are still at a preliminary stage. We will then turn our attention to ideas for improving the process: it is, as we have always acknowledged, not yet perfect. We are learning by doing. For example, we need more harmonised elements -the Commission has always enjoyed the support of France and Belgium in this context ...
