Len Parry has written a comment following the publication of my lockouts paper which concludes that lockouts are of 'minor' significance. Much of Perry's ire is directed towards the inaccurate reporting of my findings on a handful of internet web sites, which in particular incorrectly reported that my research had found that lockouts accounted for a majority of all disputes instead of a majority of 'long' disputes (greater than a month).
