Impressive. But still just numbers. To make it a bit more interesting, presidents have proclaimed Small Business Week for more than 40 years, culminating in the selection of just one Small Business Person of the Year. Each state celebrates first, announcing its winner--who vies for the top honor--as well as naming other small-business champions.
