Meat, rice and macaroni salad. That's an authentic Hawaiian plate lunch, and that's what's on the menu at Hawaiian Time, which opened its second restaurant in Eugene on May 4.

Already the place is hopping during lunch and dinner, with about 600 customers a day, said Kimberly McNie, who owns the business with her husband, James. They opened the restaurant in a remodeled former Dari-Mart at 333 Coburg Road.
