AKRON, Ohio _ Jim Brown is working behind the scenes to try to repair the damage caused by Kellen Winslow Jr.'s motorcycle accident and his subsequent silence.
The all-time great running back said Monday he had spoken with former teammate John Wooten and the two are trying to persuade the Browns' tight end and his father to speak to the media sometime around the first weekend of June.
Brown said the 1964 championship team will be hosting a roast in the area that weekend.
