A dream came true Friday for 69 people at the Preyer Federal Building downtown.

Immigrants to the United States took an oath of citizenship during a naturalization ceremony, giving them all the rights afforded to U.S. citizens. They came from Vietnam, Germany, Mexico and dozens of other countries.

The presiding district judge said the day is special not only to those participating, but to everyone in attendance.
