Stephen Johnson, sworn in May 2 as the new U.S. Environmental Protection Agency administrator, told employees that one of his top priorities would be pursuing policies that allow both environmental protection and economic growth.
Johnson was sworn in three days after the Senate confirmed his nomination.
He also pledged to ensure the use of sound science in decision-making.
