Jul. 5--Santa Fe Pacific Corp. and Hanson Natural Resources Co. have completed a coal-for-gold swap that the two announced in January. "Adding Hanson's gold assets to our company will more than double annual gold production and significantly increase reserves," Robert D. Krebs, chairman and chief executive officer of Santa Fe, told a luncheon meeting of the Transportation Table in Washington on the day the sale was completed.

Krebs said Santa Fe would show a 9 percent growth in revenue on an 11 percent increase in intermodal traffic for the first half of 1993, with carload ...
