Bill Cassel was a baseball-and-apple pie kind of guy, a proud veteran who wouldn't have dreamed of blaming the government for his ailments.
Pat Cassel says that's the most important thing to know about her husband, who died of leukemia in 1985. He was a Vietnam veteran who served a tour in the Tay Ninh province, in 1967 and 1968.
``Bill's name isn't on the wall,'' Cassel said, choking back strong emotion. ``But it should be. It took him almost 20 years, but he started dying back in Vietnam.''
