Algiers Bancorp, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: ALGC) , a Louisiana corporation (the "Corporation") and the holding company of Algiers Bank & Trust, a Louisiana Savings and Loan ("Algiers"), announced today that the Board of Directors of the Corporation has unanimously approved an Agreement and Plan of Acquisition and Merger (the "Agreement") by and between the Corporation, Algiers and SNB, Inc., a Louisiana corporation ("SNB"). The Agreement provides, among other things, that SNB shall be merged with and into the Corporation and the Corporation shall be the surviving entity ...
