There are many commercial butterfly farms in the world, but in my area is the largest "Butterfly World" on the planet, which is located at 3600 W. Sample Road in Coconut Creek, FL, about 10 miles from Fort Lauderdale. It opened its doors in 1988 and for the first few years was primarily a butterfly farm. Several bird aviaries, housing hummingbirds, finches, and lorikeets, were added in the nineties, and it has grown to three acres of butterfly gardens and bird aviaries.
