Imagine we are in the early 1800s. You are a pioneer, traveling with your family through thick, hilly, forestland just north of the Ohio River. On a rocky bluff above a gurgling creek, you find something strange. Coiling in and out of the trees is a giant serpent built from earth! Someone, or rather some people, have been here before.
