EX-FUEL protest leader Brynle Williams yesterday warned direct action could hit oil supplies before the general election.

The North Wales Tory AM led a blockade of the Shell refinery at Stanlow, near Ellesmere Port, almost five years ago before entering politics.

Now fuel tax protesters are threatening to disrupt the election with refinery blockades and go-slows on major roads.
