CORVETTE BEGINS COUNTDOWN TO 40TH BIRTHDAY ON JUNE 30

    WARREN, Mich., June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- To many a mortal, reaching age 40 means the best is past.  But for Chevrolet's remarkable Corvette, its upcoming 40th birthday on June 30 "begins still another decade of enduring greatness for the No. 1 production sports car on the planet." 
    So says Jim Perkins, Chevrolet general manager, releasing plans for several Corvette birthday events planned during June.
