WHETHER it's antique furniture, rare books, modern art, or even the very latest in curtain knobs and poles, for my money there's no better place to shop than London. And I'm not saying that just because it's my hometown.

I opened my own showroom there in 1998 when I started my fabric business, and now I go as often as possible. It's a great excuse to visit friends and shop while keeping an eye on my showroom, where we also represent Raoul Textiles, Peter Dunham's fabric collection, and Michael S. Smith's new fabric line.
