Cary candidates weigh need for police station.(News)

Candidates for Cary village trustee all believe it's time to consider whether a new police station is necessary.

How to proceed if the answer is yes is another story.

"I think their study will show it's antiquated," said candidate Raymond Chisholm, who spent 20 years as a police officer in Arlington Heights.

He says doing a space and needs study will only bolster his argument that a new police station is necessary.

If something is built, he said, he'd like to see it handle Cary's needs for at least 20 years.
