SUMMERSVILLE, W.VA. -- Cattle were unchanged to down $2 at midweek last week as cattle markets continued to struggle with cyclically limited supplies made shorter by the political shenanigans of mad producers and their mad judge in the northern U.S. and very expensive beef supplies in the U.S. that are driving consumers to chicken.

The markets came into the week with beef cutouts continuing to weaken from high levels earlier this month, and the markets moved through Wednesday with the cutouts weakening even more, according to Feedstuffs sources contacted from ...
