Lake Villa school board cuts 16 jobs.(News)

The Lake Villa Elementary District 41 school board eliminated 16 full-time positions Wednesday night in order to save about $700,000 next school year.

The specific employees who will be fired were not determined Wednesday, but the positions will be in the permanent substitutes, gifted and talented, physical education, clerical, aides, supervision, resource officer, reading, after-school tutoring, and homework club departments.
