Custer's Last Stand produced two dozen Medal of Honor winners, including four Kentuckians.
One of them, Pvt. William M. Harris of Madison County, is buried at Camp Nelson National Cemetery near Nicholasville.
"Probably very few people know he is here," says Peggy Brock, cemetery program assistant. Maybe that's because the famous fight at the Little Bighorn River, dubbed "Custer's Last Stand," was in faraway Montana.
