For most companies marketing cosmetic products in Canada, there is already some awareness about the new regulation requiring that ingredient labeling be printed on packaging by November 16, 2006. According to Health Canada statistics, 68% of cosmetic packaging has some version of voluntary ingredient disclosure; however, the lack of specific regulations has in some cases led manufacturers to create labeling conditions that may not comply with the new requirements.
