Most people who know Don Ogilvie know he's a flying enthusiast. He owns a twin-engine Beechcraft Baron, which he flies "whenever I can." Not many people know, however, that back when he was working for the Department of Defense and the Office of Management and Budget during the Ford Administration, he was offered rides in fighter jets, including F-4 Phantoms, F-14s, and F-15s. He rode in the seat behind the pilot. You needed a strong stomach and a clear head for those heart-pounding rides (think of "Top Gun").
