Mar. 18--In 1943, Ezra Porter quit his $1-a day tree digging job to build -- with his bare hands -- Porter's Flower Shop & Nursery on historic Route 66.
More than 60 years later, a new generation of Porters is preparing to close the business at the end of the month, saying good-bye to decades of memories.
