The Parma City School District in Parma, Ohio, was honored with the 2005 Civic Star Award for Ohio for a long and wide-ranging partnership with businesses and community organizations.

The partnership began more than 12 years ago when the school district and the Parma Area Chamber of Commerce created the Community/Business/Schools (C/B/S) Partnership while leaders were discussing student needs and available community resources.
