SUNNYVALE, Calif., March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Aruba today unveiled the first-of-its-kind, industry-wide certification program aimed at delivering true interoperability between legacy access points (APs) and centralized wireless LAN (WLAN) switching systems.

Developed for wireless equipment manufacturers, Aruba's new certification program opens Aruba's AP boot source code software, allowing the conversion of third-party "fat" and newer "thin" APs into full-function Aruba APs.
