ST. LOUIS _ A VIP wake-up call gives biological clocks rhythm, Washington University researchers have found.
In people and animals, sleep, wake and a variety of biological processes (scientists call them circadian rhythms, meaning "about a day") are governed by a single master clock in the brain. That clock is really a cluster of about 10,000 brain cells called the suprachiasmatic nucleus, situated straight up from the roof of the mouth at about the level of the bridge of the nose.
