DON'T let her petite frame or that bubbly smile fool you. Brig. Gen. Marcelite J. Harris, the first Black woman general in the U.S. Air Force, is a commanding force among her peers.
The 49-year-old Houston native, who brings more than 27 years of military experience to her current post as vice commander of the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma, is a rare combination of warmth and tenacity.
