Mar. 3--NORTH KINGSTOWN -- Through fires, floods and 1200 page reports, organizers of the USS Saratoga Museum Foundation Inc., have pressed on for the past seven years toward their ultimate goal: to open the retired Navy supercarrier Saratoga as a floating museum, family attraction and education center for Rhode Island residents.

The project moved another step toward that goal with the opening of the Saratoga Museum headquarters and Museum Store in North Kingstown.
