A baby boy was born in England after being conceived with sperm frozen 21 years earlier.

The baby's father had his sperm frozen at age 17 prior to starting successful treatment for testicular cancer in the early 1980s. His sperm was stored in liquid nitrogen and was not thawed until he married and decided to start a family.

Scientists created embryos by injecting sperm into the mother's eggs, a technique called intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). The baby boy was born 2 years ago following 4 attempts at in vitro fertilization.
