Feb. 22--CHAUMONT -- After opening five Nice N' Easy stores across the north country, a village resident has plans to bring one closer to home.

Edward J. Valentine, an owner of Valentine Stores Inc., has plans pending for a 4,500-square-foot convenience store and gas station on a vacant parcel at State Route 12E and Jefferson County Route 125.

Valentine Stores operates Nice N' Easy locations on Factory Street in Watertown, on routes 11 and 12 in the town of Pamelia, on Route 12F in the town of Hounsfield and on West Main Street ...
