The most valuable contribution Christianity can make to China today as it seeks to revitalize its inner self is Christianity's foundation, the concrete person Jesus of Nazareth, or as he was named in his native Hebrew tongue, Yeshua. Yeshua was positive on life, as is the ancient Chinese tradition, Confucianism. Consequently, also like Confucianism, Yeshua--unlike much of subsequent Christianity--asked not "what must I think?" but "what must I do?" thereby confirming China's own early insight.
