Feb. 19--Only hours before Wal-Mart's abrupt announcement Thursday, the elected leaders of Pueblo West and Pueblo County gathered for their monthly luncheon meeting to discuss the Pueblo West golf course
The talks were relaxed.
The biggest issue wasn't a report on the $490,000 a year in tax subsidy the golf course requires to pay off its capital improvement bond fund. (Pueblo West and the county agreed long ago to split the tab.)
