The new project director for Denver's Clyfford Still Museum came to the art world in a slightly backward way.

It's not unusual for art majors to go to work for a museum, then realize that a stint in business school might be helpful in administration.

But Dean Sobel's first stop was business school, earning a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He then entered the field of computer software.
