Stoughton High School's newspaper, The Norse Star, collected six first-place awards and eight other honors from the Wisconsin Newspaper Association at its annual convention Friday in Appleton.

Among college newspapers, The Clarion of Madison Area Technical College earned 11 awards, including two first-place honors for graphics and advertisement, in the association's 2004 competition.

The graphics top award was for political story graphic by Thomas Washbush, who also won the top award for advertisement. The Clarion won ...
