NIKLAS RADSTROM, born in 1953, has been one of the most prolific writers in Sweden since the 1980s and 1990s. He made his debut in 1975 with a collection of poetry, Med tystnad narbeslaktade dikter (Poems closely related to silence), and in 1979 he made his literary breakthrough with the novel-poetry volume Dikter kring Sandro della Quercias liv (Poems regarding the life of Sandro della Quercia), which was a critical success with its genre-defying style.
