The Aviator (12A)

Martin Scorsese has been wrongly denied an Oscar for nearly a decade now, and every new film he releases is accompanied with the prospect of him finally bagging that best director Oscar.

With this in mind, I had high anticipations for The Aviator. And I'm glad to say I wasn't disappointed.

This is a majestic, sweeping spectacle that will make a fine addition to Scorsese's celluloid collection.
