In 2003, Reggie Bush was the top running back recruit in the nation before signing with Southern California. The next year, Adrian Peterson was the top-rated rusher before enrolling at Oklahoma.
Both players were among the five finalists for the Heisman Trophy as the best college football player in the country this past fall. Oregon can only hope its own top running back recruit will follow in such hallowed footsteps.
