It took a while to get its momentum going, but College of the Canyons' men's basketball team finally is resembling the group that won the Western State Conference South Division title last season.

After starting this season 4-6, the Cougars - who went 19-7 last season to capture their first conference title in a decade - have rebounded to win four of their past five games, including a 58-56 triumph Wednesday night at West Los Angeles in a conference opener.
