Usher's got himself a budding rival in Mario, an 18-year-old upstart challenging the R&B stalwart with his sophomore release, "Turning Point."

Mario scored a couple of hit singles ("Just a Friend" and "Braid My Hair") with his 2002 self-titled debut, and "Turning Point" already has spawned the breakout hit "Let Me Love You."

His rise is even more mysterious than Usher's.
