El 30 de noviembre de 1954 moría en Baden-Baden (Alemania) el director de orquesta y compositor alemán Wilhelm Furtwängler, un gigante en la historia de la interpretación musical. Cincuenta años después de su muerte sigue siendo un artista de culto a través de un copioso legado discográfico que no ha perdido un ápice de su grandeza. Varias ediciones conmemorativas del 50 aniversario de su muerte reviven la magia en concierto de un mito que sigue cautivando por la intensidad expresiva de sus interpretaciones.
