Education push targets young investors, new retirees.(Conference Call)

WASHINGTON - With the first serious money beginning to move out to fund investor education, a couple of themes are starting to emerge. The early money is being bet on attempts to provide education for young people just entering the work force and for those just entering retirement.

At the Consumer Federation of America's conference on financial services this month in Washington, officials representing the Securities and Exchange Commission, NASD and state securities regulators indicated those will be their first target audiences.
