            KERR-MCGEE'S GALATIA MINE SETS SHIPMENT RECORD 
    OKLAHOMA CITY, Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Coal shipments from Kerr-McGee

Coal Corp.'s underground Galatia Mine in Illinois set a record in August. Both the Herrin (No. 6) and the Harrisburg (No. 5) seams exceeded previous monthly coal shipments, with a combined total of 404,123 tons of coal shipped. The mine's previous shipment record of 389,242 tons was set in May 1992.
