American Public to assume some life policies

A potential buyer for some of Andrew Jackson Life Insurance Companies policies has given State Insurance Commission officials hope to completely rehabilitate the company by the end of the summer.

"I am encouraged at the progress we are making in behalf of the Andrew Jackson policyholders," said George Dale, state insurance commissioner. "We hope to finalize plans for all other types of in-force business as quickly as possible, but this is something which requires time to explore our options and select the best ...
