GAA PRESIDENT Sean Kelly has welcomed the allocation of a EUR1.5million Government grant to help promote hurling and camogie.
Mr John O'Donoghue, Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism, announced the handout to support a national development strategy for hurling and camogie.
The grant aid is part of a 17 per cent increase for sport in the 2005 estimates, published yesterday.
